today is our Sheba Dogs 15th Birthday.....

here she is as a puppy with our Grandson Hunter

who also turned 15 this year....

Ross found Sheba on a country road 1 mile over from us in the

winter of 1997...she was less than 8 weeks old and the vet told

me she would never live.....I have always LOVED a challenge...

the funny thing about the whole story is that I was always a cat person

and Ross was the dog person...so i wasn't exactly pleased when he brought

her home....Sheba has been the most AMAZING dog.....very

protective of her mama (me) and an excellent trainer to the other

3 dogs and mama to every set of chickens that have lived on the farm.

the recipe for tonight is not edible by us humans...but is a most

tasty treat for our canine companions....DOGGY Birthday Cake.

Doggy Birthday Cake :

bread of any kind (used hot dog buns that somebody gave me from church a couple weeks ago)

canned dog food (spreadable kind)

hot dogs

doggy biscuits

roll the bread flat with a rolling pin.....spread the dog food over the top....put the cut up hot dogs around the edges....and then the age in the middle out of doggy biscuits....and then start SINGING!!!!
