got going early this morning....AMAZING Sunrise!!!!

to the gym while it is baking...(recipe on January 4th)
October 1st is the date we set aside to get the first batch of sauerkraut up from the
basement and can it....so when Ross got home from work we got started....

we put this batch of cabbage in the crock on August 4th.... so today, 8 weeks later....
you dump the whole thing into a stock pot on the stove and warm it up....
do not bring it to a boil though...
then can it in pint jars......here you can see the whole process....the wooden
spoon is in the jar to move around and release the air bubbles before canning.
process in a hot water canner for 10 minutes
yielded 17 pints....
picked the last cucumber today...not bad....we have been reaping our
cucumbers since July 3rd .... over 100 days of eating this fresh veggie....
gotta LOVE IT!!!
finished our chores at the farm and decided to go fishing on the
boat....hoping for a bass dinner..... a couple of nibbles but nothing
in the bucket.....beautiful fall evening though....
