the chickens have been ordered......from http://www.mthealthy.com/ ...we will be receiving 40 chickens on March 5th......25 Rhode Island Red - Laying chickens (pullets/girls) and 15 White Plymouth Rock - Meat chickens (cockerels/boys) ..... cost was $102.50. We have had great success with chickens from here before.
I will receive a call from the Hanover post office early on the morning of monday march 5th asking me politely to come get my noisy chickens....will post pictures of the entire process.

Today is also ground hog day and here in Missouri we take the ground hog we had in the freezer from our latest road kill and make stew. Pictures to follow.
