I was the recipient of 2 new cookie sheets today....because of my good fortune...
I made a couple batches of cookies......Snickerdoodles and Chocolate Chip Bars
Snickerdoodles: (Betty Crocker pg 122)
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter softened
1/2 cup shortening....we use the butter flavor shortening
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
mix the sugar, butter, shortening and eggs......add in the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
mix sugar and cinnamon into a separate bowl....shape dough into balls and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture. put 12 per cookie sheet....Bake at 400 for 14 - 16 minutes (the cookbook says 8 - 10 but it always takes mine longer)
