today was a pleasant day temperature wise.....got my weeding done early this morning...

we picked our first cucumbers of the year...

and then promptly turned them into a new recipe...

Cucumber Salad Dressing :

1 1/2 medium cucumbers

1 small onion

we left the skins on the cucumbers, but we took the seeds out....put the cucumbers and onions into the food processor .....take this and drain off the juices.....

1/8 cup sugar

1/8 cup lemon juice

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce

stir all of these items into the cucumber/onion mixture

2 cups mayo

1 cup sour cream

whisk everything together....and refrigerate......this tasted wonderful......perfect for a salad or just drizzled over tomatoes.

Miracle Whip II : our original recipe was on June 7, 2012.....here is simpler one....

1 egg

1 tsp dry mustard

1/8 tsp salt

1 Tbsp vinegar

2 Tbsp powdered sugar

1 1/4 cup oil

with a stick blender......mix everything but the oil.....add the oil a bit at a time while blending.

this one tasted great and much easier than the other one made in June.
