today is Ross' brother Davids birthday.....hope your day was great!!!!
the temperature got into the upper 80's....way better than 100+......we are supposed to be at normal highs and lows for this entire week....mid 80's and upper 50's to low 60's.....finally!!!!
had to do some shopping today...we logged our expenses under the General Store Tab...while we were at Walmart...there were several children sitting on the floor in the Red-White-Blue closeout section saying the Pledge of Allegiance.....it was very cool......those kids made us smile!!!
realized that i hadn't made a new recipe in a long while....so the winner was Peach Pie.
Peach Pie: (family recipe)
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
6 cups peaches (used a Quart jar and then a can from the grocery store to make 6 cups)
1 tsp lemon juice
Pie Crust recipe from January 26, 2012
mix all the ingredients together and pour into a 9 inch pastry...add a few dabs of butter
place top pastry on however you wish...
heat oven to 425 degrees and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes or until golden brown & bubbly
the pie was for dessert......dinner was steaks on the grill, salad and corn on the cob....
