another HOT one today...got to mid 90's....no rain in sight either....it is DRY....DRY....DRY!!!!

had a craving for some fudge and realized i haven't made any this year yet...so here it is....

Chocolate-Nut Fudge :

3 cups chocolate chips

1 can sweetened condensed milk

dash of salt

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

1 cup walnuts

you can use the stove or microwave.....I used the microwave today...(I know that they didn't have them back in 1912...but I was in a time crunch)

put the chips, milk and salt in a microwave safe bowl....heat for 1 1/2 minutes....

stir it together and add the vanilla and walnuts....blend it all well....put a piece of parchment paper in a dish and spread the fudge into the dish.....I add a walnut on top as well....chill for a couple hours

I crush the walnuts for the inside of the fudge by putting them in a baggy and rolling over the baggy with a rolling pin.....then flip the bag over and keep rolling until it is the consistency you want.

then our day changed for the better.....our daughter Amy called and they are heading this way for the weekend......we are very excited......3 more grandbabies for a visit.

so they arrive and Blake goes over to my flowerbed and waters them for me....he is a GOOD Boy!!!
