tragedy in Aurora Colorado....young man opens fire on a crowd at midnight in a movie theatre seeing the new Batman movie.....we need to keep Praying for our Nation and the people who call it home.

we were at the Capri Drive-In last night.....had a wonderful time.....the rain stopped just in time!!!

cost is $8 per person....CASH only...gotta love it!!!

they have a wonderful concession stand also....

this is located in Coldwater Michigan...close to the Indiana border.

Garden work all day....very excited......started with the lettuce area....

the basket....bucket....bag....procedure....

basket....good lettuce that comes into the house

bucket....weeds and dirt....this goes to the compost area

bag.....this is filled with lettuce that goes to the chickens

some of the lettuce is a Spinach leaf.....we cut it up and freeze it for dips and soups....

then off to the cucumbers.....we have a bumper crop so far this year....

we will have cucumbers for the next 2 months...

these will be turned into Bread & Butter Pickles....here we go!!!!

cut the cucumbers...put in fresh hot canning jars.....

pour mixture over cucumbers, clean the rim and affix a lid/ring and place in the canning basket....

once you have 7 ready, place the basket into the hot water canner for 15 minutes...

we do all of our summer canning on the front porch

once the 15 minutes elapses....remove them with the proper tool and place on a wire rack....

they will cool and seal here....then we write the description on the lid....

remove the ring and put them in the basement cupboard

then we headed into Jackson to see the Hot Air Balloons take off.....The Hot Air Jubilee is today, tomorrow and Sunday....we try to see the balloons take off as many times as possible.....we went all over the back roads and got some amazing pictures....in 1 1/2 hours we took over 250 pictures.....here are a couple....
