August 10, 2012  ...  got my post ready and the Internet went down...so here are both days...

more......Rain....Glorious....Rain

we are now at about 2 inches .....and we are VERY grateful!!!

dinner tonight....new recipe.....another casserole....

Mega-Cheese Spaghetti Casserole :

start with your noodles cooked like normal, and a pan full of spaghetti with meat added....

dump your noodles and sauce and a cup of Parmesan Cheese into a bowl and mix together

put half of the mixture into your casserole dish....place colby and mozzarella cheese on top....

repeat this step until the casserole dish is full...bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes



finished product....tasted wonderful!!!

now onto dessert.....tried something new....

Peanut-Chocolate Squares :

CRUST : 2 cups of graham cracker crumbs, 1 stick butter and 1/3 cup sugar...

mix together and place in an ungreased 13 x 9 baking pan

TOPPING : 1 1/3 cup of chocolate chips, 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and 1 tsp vanilla..

put in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 1 minute....stir and pour over crust....

add your peanuts on top and bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes...

our grandson Jacob gave them the seal of approval....

even more......Rain....Glorious....Rain

we are now at 2.5 inches +.....and we are sooooo VERY grateful!!!

rainy, drizzly early part of the day...so we watched movies all day...

the sun broke out about 3pm....below normal temperatures forecasted
for this upcoming week.

sad to see the Olympics coming to an end but WOW the USA team did amazing!!!
