today was officially a CRAZY day....and i hope not to repeat it ever again.....

we have been excited to start the STEPS project off the back porch for quite

awhile.....we bought some of the product needed last week....and then it rained....

no complaining here.....today was the GO day...so we went into town to rent an auger

to make digging the holes easier....

the first hole did not go well....just way too many rocks.....we completed the 4

holes for the back porch steps and then went into the back to dig the holes for the

porch around Big Mikes Bunkhouse....I had to leave for a meeting at church ....the

auger broke on the first hole....with 8 to dig.....so Ross called the rental company

and they sent a new one out, it arrived about the time I got home and then we

started again......took about an hour to finish in the back...covered all the holes

so the rain wouldn't fill them back up and headed back up front to do some

of the skeleton work so we could pour the cement......the hanger brackets

are different than we have ever seen...made in china and completely useless, so

that made everything harder....then we didn't have enough cement...so at 8pm we

are at the local hardware picking up 4 more bags......here is the picture at the

end of the evening.....all cleaned up and ready for the next day it doesn't rain.

I am looking forward to putting an end to this day....

a good night sleep will do wonders!!!
