made some Miracle Whip Salad Dressing this morning.....this recipe tasted great but will try an easier recipe next time.

Miracle Whip Salad Dressing:
2 egg yolks
1/2 tsp salt
3 Tbsp powdered sugar
3 Tbsp lemon juice
1 1/2 cup oil
1 1/2 Tbsp corn starch
1 tsp ground mustard
1/2 cup boiling water
2 Tbsp vinegar

mix the egg yolks, salt, powdered sugar and 1 Tbsp of lemon juice....add 1 cup of the oil slowly...then add the rest of the oil and lemon juice....mix thoroughly.

in a small bowl mix corn starch, ground mustard and vinegar...put boiling water in a saucepan...put over medium heat.....then add this mixture to it....blend until smooth.

add the hot mixture to the cold mixture and blend well.

found an amazing original document in my Uncle Dave's boxes......this is a deed from May 13, 1812.....over 200 years ago.....not sure how i am related to Jacob Reimel....I will do more research on that...

if this interests you...print these out and tape them together....the first picture was the outside....so here are some other interesting facts about this document...outside of the fact that it has been in my family for over 200 years.

Jacob Reimel paid 242 pounds 5 shillings which was considered lawful money of the United States in 1812

US paper money, as we know it, was not created until 1862

on the 2nd photo....you will see the name of the witness Peter Hilliard.....just incredible that 100 years later when my grandpa was born Clara Hilliard was paid $15.00.....looking forward to getting some answers on how they were related while in PA this weekend.

on the 3rd photo...look at the signature of his wife.....she made her MARK (X) and the recorder put her name next to it......so in 1812 Elizabeth could not write her name.

the trip to Pennsylvania is getting closer.....very excited...

Pleasant Dreams!!!
